One more time for the people in the back: your network is the heart of your business! Can you grow your business without it? Of course! Will it take you a lot longer without the right people having your back? Definitely!
I've been building brands from scratch for over 10 years now and the most important step still remains to know the right people (or hire people who can help you stay in touch). Especially for women, it’s still a long road to claim their place in business. The good part? You don’t have to do it alone!
Tap into your existing network
You probably already have a network you’re not even aware of. Check with your ex-colleagues, previous partners and friends to see if anyone in their network would like to join yours.
There is a lot of need for your knowledge. You just have to be brave enough to share it with the rest of the world.
Start with the world you already know and broaden your horizon.
Improve your visibility
Showing up consistently is necessary if you want to grow your business. Don’t give your existing network the chance to forget about you and what you bring to the table.
Here are some ways to show what you’re up to.
- Send out newsletters on the regular.
- Show your face on social media.
- Don’t forget about network events (on- or offline).
Don’t forget to batch your content. For more productivity tips, go check out my blog to boost your productivity here.
Show ‘em what you’re made of
Don’t just sell your offer all the time. You need to gain the trust of your network first. How, you ask me? By giving free value and doing so consistently.
Be honest with yourself. You wouldn’t buy from a company that only uses ads, would you? You need to know their offer first.
The same goes for you and your company. Show your network what you are made of, what your key takeaways and core values are and how you get the results for your existing clients.
