No business plan yet? No worries, I can help you write it while having fun. To answer the question that’s brewing in your mind: Yes, I think a business plan is necessary. In the long run it will be more difficult without a plan, even when everything is working now. It’s still your business, you should take it seriously! Then your clients will do so as well.
Now, on to the 5 steps to reach your goals!
What do you want to have done by December 2022?
Set your goals for:
- Revenue
- Number of clients
- Numbers of followers
- Sales
- Number of hours spent working a day/week
Don’t be too hard on yourself. You might not reach your goals bij the end of this year, but you will have gotten farther than without any goals at all. Right?
What is needed to reach those goals?
There are several questions to ask yourself here.
For example: Do you need to change your offer? I used to help 3 to 8 clients a year. I just couldn’t help more clients because of time restrictions. The waitlist was growing, so I needed to do something. I created an online offer to help more clients. And it worked! For both my clients and myself!
But maybe the question you need to ask yourself is: Do I need to talk to potential clients more? Then you can make a list of connections to contact.
Want to create a dream budget? Dream big! Reaching a realistic budget is okay, but it will be bigger if you dare to reach higher, no doubt.
Divide your goals into quarters, weeks, months or days
Just setting your goals won’t get you success. You have to work to reach them.
First determine what you want to do, then the ‘how’ will follow.

Look back at last year (optional)
It might help you to take a look at the past year.
- What went well?
- What did you like?
- What did you enjoy the most?
This is not a must in your plan to world domination. I prefer not to do it, but it might work for you. I say, give it a go and see how it works.
What is your longterm goal?
Or let me rephrase that: What impact do you want to make in the world?
