There's nothing more convincing to buy from you, than your client's testimonial.
Remember the last thing you bought:
Was this an idea you had just by yourself or did someone else (a friend, an influencer, a famous columnist) convince you to buy it?
Asking for recommendations to your clients can be daunting, but it will open up more opportunities for your business and you are making it much easier for your prospect to decide to buy from you.
Asking for reviews should be a monthly practice
But how to get on with this?
Because ‘just asking for a review' hardly ever works.
Or you'll receive a review like: “we asked Sarah to help us with our social media and we're really happy”
You actually have to work for it ;-).
But the work will pay off, I promise.
How to get started?
Use my TACCS– model to get started:
1. Talk
Call up your current clients (and past clients) or text them, email them, ask them if you may have 5 minutes of their time.
Tell them that you're expanding your business and you'd like to ask them a favor (most people are really happy to help you!).
2. Ask
If you're calling: have a maximum of 3 questions ready.
The questions I use are:
1. What was the result after working with me?
2. Why did you want to work with me?
3. What would you say to someone who wants to work with me?
If you're emailing, you can either send the list of questions to their email, or share a google form or a typeform with your questions (or both, some people like to just hit reply, others like to fill something out).
In the forms you can even offer multiple questions!
3. Create
After receiving the answers it's up to you to put this into the words of your client. Try to think of their tone of voice and what words they would use.
And also think about your prospect: what do they need to hear to be convinced? What is your ideal client's main objection?
4. Check
Show the client what you've written and receive a yes on publishing this.
5. Spread the word
Do not forget to place the testimonial on your website, use the quote in the ‘bio' part of your LinkedIn profile, place it in your email-signature, use it in your content on social media, share it with people who want to become your client & ask your client to share the review as well.
And as a coach, I need to set the right example, so if you like my newsletters, you can answer my questions here (or just hit reply with those 3 questions in mind):
Podcast on how to be the best coachee
As you may know, my new fresh round of Masterminders kicked-off yesterday and they are on a roll! Here are the people from yesterday's call:
Especially for them and also for you, I created this week's podcast episode on how to make the most of your time as a coachee.
So that you will never have to say: this training or coaching was a waste of money. Because it hardly ever is.
I'm sharing with you how you can be the best coachee ever (is it time for a coachee of the month award?).
Also I'm sharing the difference between private & group coaching and in which phase in your business you need what:
Happening in my business this week:
1. Finished the Big Business Mastermind Launch
I've really enjoyed this January launch and I'm sharing all my learnings in the launch revealed newsletter on Saturday.
I will also share why the final launch week did not go as expected…
2. Hosted the MuseumNext Conference
On Monday and Tuesday I hosted one of my favorite events on the planet, MuseumNext.
Jim and I work together for 5 years now and he is a client I like to remain working with even though I pivoted my business to coaching.

3. Working a maximum of 4 hours a day the upcoming week
I'm fully present for my clients in voxer, but I will hardly take any calls and take it a bit more easy for the next 8 days… –> until my Birthday.
I am prepping a Birthday Sale & it's going to be epic.
I wanted to do something that energizes me & you.
This is something I haven't offered yet and if you are an existing client, this could definitely give you a new boost!
